The Dubai In-Between-Season Beauty Reset

There’s a small shift happening in Dubai right now, the kind you feel before you can quite see it.

The heat hasn’t disappeared, not really, but the evenings feel a little softer. Outdoor plans start to sound more appealing, the air feels slightly less intense, and I find myself wanting to refresh a few everyday routines.

My skin seems to notice the change too. What worked beautifully throughout the height of summer can suddenly feel a little too heavy in some places and not quite enough in others. So this is not a complete routine overhaul. It’s a gentle reset: a few lighter swaps that meet the season where it actually is.

A lighter morning routine

Sunscreen is still the one step I never skip. Lighter evenings don’t mean sun protection suddenly becomes optional, especially in Dubai.

Lately, I’ve been reaching for the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Rice + Probiotics SPF50+. I like the idea of a sunscreen that feels comfortable enough for warm days, makeup, errands, and those evenings when I may spend a little more time outdoors.

Before sunscreen, I want cleansing to feel gentle, not stripping. The CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser with Hyaluronic Acid is a simple option for washing away the night’s skincare or preparing the skin before the rest of the morning routine.

For moisturiser, I’m avoiding anything that feels too rich beneath makeup and SPF. The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel has the light, water-gel texture I tend to prefer when I want hydration without a heavy finish.
Skincare is personal, of course, so it is always worth checking the ingredient list.

The small handbag essential

There is one product I genuinely do not like leaving home without: the Eucerin Aquaphor SOS Lip Repair Balm.

Between warm outdoor air and strong indoor air conditioning, lips can easily feel uncomfortable. I keep a lip balm in my handbag, another beside my bed, and probably one in a forgotten coat or tote bag too.

It is a small detail, but those are often the products I appreciate most, simple things that quietly make the day more comfortable.

After-shower body care

A seasonal reset does not have to stop at facial skincare.

After a shower, I’ve been reaching for the Aveeno Daily Moisturising Body Lotion with Soothing Oats. It is the kind of everyday body lotion that fits easily into a routine, especially when skin feels dry or tight after a long day of heat, showers, and air conditioning.

Every few days, I may also use the Dove Brown Sugar and Coconut Butter Body Scrub. I like it as an occasional body care step when my skin feels a little dull, but I keep exfoliation gentle rather than treating it as something that needs to happen every day.

Its warm coconut-vanilla scent makes the shower feel a little more indulgent, which is sometimes the entire point of a reset.

The part that isn’t skincare

My seasonal reset is not only about changing products.

I also like writing down what I want the next few weeks to feel like: lighter, calmer, and more intentional. I’ve been rotating between the Gratitude: A Day and Night Reflection Journal, The 5-Minute Gratitude Journal, and the Self-Love Workbook for Women.

They suit different moods. Some evenings I want prompts and structure. Other evenings I want a blank page and the freedom to write without trying to make everything sound polished.

That is one of my favourite things about a seasonal reset: it does not need to be dramatic or perfectly planned. It can be as simple as clearing your vanity, replacing an old product, or writing down one thing you are looking forward to.

A softer atmosphere at home

In the evenings, I’ve been enjoying the Rose & Sandalwood Reed Diffuser in the living room.

Rose keeps it soft and feminine, while sandalwood gives the scent a little warmth. Together, they create a gentle background fragrance that makes the room feel more settled after a busy day.

I prefer using a diffuser as an atmosphere piece rather than treating fragrance as a wellness cure. It is simply one of those small touches that can make staying in feel more intentional.

A light floral fragrance

For the fragrance part of my reset, I would choose something soft and feminine rather than a heavy oud, dense amber, or intense winter scent.

Chloe Eau de Parfum has the polished floral mood I associate with a lighter season: feminine, clean, and romantic without feeling too formal. It would work beautifully for daytime plans, brunch, work, or an early evening out.

Perfume develops differently on everyone’s skin, especially in warm weather, so I would start with a light application and see how it wears throughout the day.

A season of its own

None of this is a dramatic overhaul.

It is simply a handful of small, honest swaps that make the in-between feel a little more like a season of its own, even here, even without crisp mornings or leaves changing colour.

In Dubai, the transition arrives differently. It comes through softer evenings, longer outdoor plans, lighter textures, and the quiet feeling that a new rhythm is beginning.

And sometimes, that is more than enough.
