Did you know that the use of clay for topical healing and internal medicinal uses traces back throughout ancient history. Clay was used as medicine and has been referenced as far back as ancient Rome.
The Earth is made up largely of minerals, which is the bulk of what clay is, it wouldn’t be surprising to find out that the use of clay as medicine traces back even further.
Benefits of Clay
Perhaps the most effective use of medicinal clay is its ability to draw out toxicity from the surface of the skin. In clay’s natural state, it possesses negatively-charged molecules, where most toxins, heavy metals and bacteria have positively charged molecules. When taken internally or applied to the skin, what happens is the two bind together and through the process of washing the clay off, you escort these toxins off the skin. The same thing happens when taken internally.
Benefits of Eucalyptus
The Eucalyptus has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and analgesic properties making this powerful element a natural healer. Rich in 1,8 cineole, this active ingredient present in Eucalyptus is known for its antibacterial properties.
Eucalyptus can cleanse the epidermis, ridding the pores of harmful impurities that can contribute to breakouts, pigmentation and dull skin. The result is a complexion that is deeply purified and healthier than ever.
Eucalyptus is also known to moisturise the skin. Not only does it deliver an intense dose of hydration, but it also locks in moisture to help your complexion glow.
Now knowing all these benefits of Clay & Eucalyptus for skin, you can imagine how excited I was feeling knowing that L’oreal released their new edition of clay masks, I have always been a big fan of their skincare, especially their face masks are a must-have!

Just like the Charcoal mask from their Purify collection, this is a highly effective mask especially for my oily skin, recently I’ve been having frequent breakouts due to a busy schedule, and non-stop use of makeup, and not being able to give a break to my skin. My skin eventually got tired and started its episode of breakouts.
Makeup cleansers, wipes, Micellar waters weren’t helping, I needed something deep that treats and detoxifies my pores, remembering my success with the L’oreal Charcoal Mask, I headed to a nearby store to get one, but instead, I found the Eucalyptus one, which I felt would be more beneficial for me, and hearing about all the wonderful benefits of Eucalyptus, I decided to give this a try.
The clay mask is a minty green colour which does not have much of a scent. So this mask would work well for those who do not like a eucalyptus scent. All I had to do was apply the mask, it tends to dry off, wait for 5 to 10 mins and take a warm and wet washcloth to remove the mask because it dries hard it’s better to use a washcloth. I can’t even tell you how my skin started glowing, I could literally feel it heal from inside!
It’s Ideal to use this 2-3 times a week to see better results, leave it to dry for 5 to 10 mins, avoid applying on your eyes and lips.
I’ve been using this for 2 weeks now and my skin started feeling much better, I can see my acne scars fade off, it mattifies and purifies the skin. I truly believe now the benefits of Eucalyptus and Clay does definitely heal the skin! This and the charcoal mask will be apart of my skincare routine!
This is definitely worth the purchase, you’d be surprised to get such high-quality mask at such an affordable price! You can find this in your nearest stores!
