Kiehl’s Avocado Skincare

Avocado Skincare

Avocado is almost everyone’s favorite fruit! I mean I’ve never come across someone who hates Avocados, their not just abundant with nutritional values and health benefits, they are versatile when it comes to food! Now imagine all the goodness of avocados in skincare!

There are many benefits of Avocados in skincare, such as:

Natural Moisturizing And Hydrating Agent

The benefits of topical application and consumption of green and yellow vegetables and fruits have been established by now. Avocado pulp and avocado oil are rich in antioxidants like B-carotene, lecithin, and linoleic acid that nourish dehydrated, flaky, and chapped skin.

Our skin goes through a lot of damage because of free radicals, pollution, sun exposure, and the effects of UVA and UVB rays, which lead to wrinkles, fine lines, and the loss of elasticity. The vitamins E and F and essential fatty acids present in fruits like avocado slow down wrinkle formation. It also contains antioxidants like lutein and zeaxanthin that are known to protect you from the signs of aging (2).

It’s safe to say that avocado works nothing less than miracles on our skin.

Talking about great skincare, and Avocados. Kiehl’s one of my favourite skincare brand has come out with high-quality Avocado skincare. I was super excited to receive this to review, with their cute little pop out avocado PR box and a cute note!

Products I received:

Avocado Nourishing Hydration Mask

An Avocado face mask that nourishes and hydrates skin.
Scoop up hydration your skin craves with their rich and creamy Avocado mask. With a unique, rich texture inspired by a fresh, ripe Avocado, hydrating face mask leaves skin feeling replenished. Smooth on rich, addictively creamy moisture for soft, healthy-looking skin.

• Hydrates and conditions skin
• Leaves skin feeling soft, supple and replenished
• Formulated with Avocado Fruit Extract, Avocado Oil and Evening Primrose Oil
• Fragrance-free
• For all skin types, including sensitive skin

My Verdict:

I literally felt I was applying pure Avocado puree on my skin, it was the natural goodness of the product I was impressed with, when I applied and left the mask on for 15 mins, and rubbed my skin in circular motion I felt the instant hydration hit my skin, as if my skin was finally able to quench its thirst, this time with an Avocado smoothie 🙂

If you have dry and dull skin, this would be the perfect instant pick-me-up hydration you need! Perfect for summer, where our skin tends to dehydrate and lose its shine!

Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment

This luxurious eye cream gently moisturizes the eye area without migrating into the eyes. Perfect for use under eye makeup, it contains highly effective natural ingredients that provide essential daily hydration and protection. The eye area is left softer, suppler, and more youthful-looking.

  • Highly effective natural ingredients provide daily hydration for the sensitive eye area
  • Gently moisturizes the delicate eye area
  • Does not migrate into eyes
  • Ophthalmologist- and Dermatologist-tested

My Verdict:

The mint-green color melts into my skin seamlessly while vitamins A and C helps brighten skin. It’s pretty thick so I only use it at night after removing makeup, cleansing, and using a toner. But the ingredient that increased brightness the most was the vitamin C.”Vitamin C is wonderful for the eye area because it does two things — it decreases pigmentation, but it also produces collagen, it makes that delicate skin under the eye a little thicker. Basically, if you’re concerned about fine lines, this creamy eye treatment will really help you!

Note – Though you may find the product a bit pricey, I feel it would be a good investment for your skincare.  I’d suggest you invest in these products, especially if your aged 28+ and above, this will definitely help with your fine lines, or any signs of aging and help you look fresh and hydrated!
