Its been more than 7 years since my visit to Delifrance which was in Colombo, Srilanka. Every trip I had made to Srilanka I always made sure to stop by Odel for shopping and an Ice coffee and tuna sandwich was my popular choice at Delifrance, light and a refreshing meal.
I was excited to receive an invite to review Delifrance in Dubai! It brought back such lovely memories of my mom and me sitting and chatting at Delifrance, loving our coffee and snacks, to know I was going to relive the moments, This time with hubby was definitely something for me to look forward to.
I visited the Delifrance at Ibn Battuta, they apparently have a branch in Dubai mall as well, which for a strange reason I have missed every time I visit the mall. So I decided to settle for Ibn Battuta since it would be less busy.
The Delifrance in Ibn Battuta is located in the Persian sector close to the metro so it would be easier for you to park your car there and walk straight to Delifrance to your right.
As I entered the open space, the ambience was bright and vibrant, the red seatings gave a very retro look to the restaurant, the kitchen at the backdrop through crystal clear glass was definitely a treat to look at, I always loved the see through and see the kitchen staff working on my meals, makes the meal even more appetizing!
We were served by waitress Vigil who was such a pleasant and charming person, greeting us and informing us the specials, we were given a freshly baked bread basket to start with along with some condiments and oils for bread and we opted for the mocktails which I just loved!
Such beautiful and refreshing cocktails, ideal to beat the summer heat!
La Vie En Rose (love mason jar drinks!)
Paris Je Taime!
The bread basket
We then went straight for the hot dishes, which I’ve never tried and was surprised to see such gourmet kind of dishes such as the Asian chicken and the Rib eye fillet, I must say what made the dish even more appetizing was the presentation, just impeccable and very french like I must say.

The surprising elements added to the dish made it very gourmet like, such as the piquant salad made with pomegranates and mangoes. Both the dishes were very refined and luscious and were light and filling.
Next was the desert, something I always look forward to! The desserts were amazing!
We had the Chocolate Creme Brulee and the Spicy Mango Vanilla slice.
Again we were surprised to see such refined dishes and desserts, I guess its a french thing! to present all their dishes in absolute mouth watering manner!
The Chocolate Creme Brulee (With ice cream on the side)
The Spicy Mango Mango Vanilla Slice
We ended our meals with a Darjeeling tea, which was a perfect balance of sweetness and astringency with the right note.
Our overall experience with Delifrance was great! we enjoyed everything from the drinks, dishes to the desert! This is not just a bakery or a cafe, but it most definitely has a gourmetness to the meals and ideal for a simple date night or with your family.
We most definitely enjoyed our time here, and surely you will too. Make sure to stop by Delifrance when visiting Ibn Battuta.
