Golden Moments – Day 2 at Modest Fashion Week 2025

April 15, 2025 – Elegance, Empowerment, and the Echo of Global Fashion

If Day 1 of Modest Fashion Week felt like a celebration of unity, Day 2 was a crowning momentβ€”one that sparkled with golden threads of achievement, artistry, and vision. It wasn’t just about the fashion on display but the emotion, admiration, and evolution of an entire movement.

Wearing an elegant ensemble for Day 2 that reflected the mood of empowerment and grace.

Set once again against the regal backdrop of The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, the day began with a sense of reverence and quiet awe. There was a shift in the air, like everyone knew we were witnessing a cultural moment in the making.

The lineup was nothing short of spectacular. From Niqozza of Turkey and the graceful sophistication of Lanuuk (UK) to the bold, unapologetic statements of Amina The Brand (Nigeria) and Wafa Balaswad (UAE), each designer brought their world to the runway. Every collection was an expression of identityβ€”layers of culture, confidence, and intentional design.

Spotlight Showcases That Left Us Breathless

Ghada Shop (Jordan) – Founded by Ghada Othman, this Amman-based brand delivered handmade modest fashion that seamlessly merged traditional craftsmanship with modern silhouettes. Her collection felt like an ode to empowered femininityβ€”soft yet striking.

Terzi DΓΌkkanΔ± (Turkey) – Hailing from Istanbul and led by Beyza Savaş, the brand’s dedication to quality tailoring was evident. Coats, dresses, and elevated basics came alive with grace and minimal elegance, reflecting the rich essence of Turkish design.

Arlina Ayou (Malaysia) – Arlina’s designs shimmered down the runway in luxurious fabrics and flowing silhouettes. Her mastery of texture and layering made each piece move like poetryβ€”graceful, refined, and inherently modest.

Ashaalia (Australia) – Established by Asheema Razak in Melbourne, Ashaalia redefined timelessness with her use of intricate Eastern beading on modern European forms. Her philosophy of β€œgenerational wear” was felt in every pieceβ€”these weren’t just garments, they were heirlooms.

As each collection graced the runway, I noticed the audience reactβ€”not just with applause, but with emotion. People leaned in, whispered in awe, and exhaled slowlyβ€”some moments were just that moving. The room was alive with admiration. It was proof that modest fashion had not only found its place, it was now influencing the rhythm of the global fashion scene.

Golden Highlights from the Day

  • Leem (KSA) presented a masterclass in understated luxury with clean lines and muted tones that spoke volumes without saying a word.
  • Humble Power (UAE) and A List & More (Thailand) brought vibrant energy through bold prints and youthful silhouettes.
  • The collective presence of designers from Bangladesh, Nigeria, Palestine, and Australia reminded us how deeply modest fashion has blossomed across continents.

My Reflections on Day 2

This day reminded me why we keep showing up. Why do we tell our stories? Why do we wear pieces that mean more than they meet the eye?

Modest Fashion Week isn’t just about trends. It’s about representation. It’s about women entering spaces where their presence is seen, their voices heard, and their style honored. It’s about bridging continents with creativity and showing the world that modesty is not limitationβ€”it’s liberation.

As the golden sun dipped behind the Saadiyat skyline and shadows stretched softly across the resort, the final applause echoed through the grand halls. I felt full. Inspired. Grateful. Ready to continue sharing and wearing my story with elegance and pride.

Closing the Chapter

While Day 3 featured intimate talk sessions and industry panels, I chose to conclude my MFW journey on the high note of Day 2’s golden moments. Sometimes, it’s the runway stories, the shared smiles, and the spark of inspiration that linger the longest. And that’s exactly what Modest Fashion Week 2025 gave meβ€”a renewed sense of pride, purpose, and belonging.
